Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to work in a team, build relationship networks, and motivate, mobilise, energise, negotiate and influence multi-disciplinary teams? Do you have the organisation and critical thinking skills to work through planning processes, including understanding needs, prioritising work, developing recommendations, problem solving, implementing change projects and understanding progress? If so, we’d love to hear from you. This job is primarily based at Montfield HQ, the role may be suitable for some hybrid working from home with prior agreement of the line manager.

This job provides the chance to be part of the team supporting the Executive Management Team of NHS Shetland and the Chief Officer of the IJB to transform services through the development of local plans which describe our vision of the future and how we are going to get there. These include the Annual Delivery Plan, Winter Plan, Capital Plan and Strategic Plans on an annual basis, or as needed. Within this role you will provide support to operational planning, performance management, project and change management workstreams.

You will also support the development and implementation of planning, performance management and supporting systems (including outcome measures and analysis) and lead the monitoring and evaluation of performance measures in a way that creates accountability, and passion for change. This would be an excellent secondment opportunity to gain skills to take back to use within your own team, and to share learning from your experience with the Planning team.

This contract is for a fixed-term until 30 September 2025. The reason for the fixed-term contract is covering secondment. If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/

For an informal discussion, please contact Lucy Flaws on Lucy.Flaws@nhs.scot or Katie McMillan on Katie.mcmillan3@nhs.scot
