Crynodeb
To deliver the objectives the Consultant in Health Protection/Deputy Director of Health Protection will coordinate and direct the work of the team including clinical, scientific, information and administrative functions. You will work closely with the Director and Deputy Directors in Health Protection, Head of Operations, as well as other consultants in the division and their teams in contributing to the role. Wales has shown leadership in genomic epidemiology and has an excellent record of sequencing coverage and international contributions, particularly in the areas of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza. The Consultant epidemiologist will work with the lead for the Public Health Genomics Programme in developing this area.
