Position Overview:

The school are seeking an experienced and dynamic educator to join their leadership team as Deputy Headteacher. The successful Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher to drive the strategic vision of the school and ensure the delivery of high-quality education to all students. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to make a significant impact within our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Deputy Headteacher you will assist the Headteacher in the overall management and administration of the school.
  • Provide leadership and support to teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee curriculum development and assessment, ensuring alignment with national standards and the needs of our students.
  • Manage student welfare and behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • As the Deputy Headteacher, you will engage with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to foster strong partnerships and enhance the school's reputation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of educational policies, practices, and curriculum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students towards achieving excellence.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the school community.
