Service Manager - Partners in Practice

Secondment, Full Time

£64,950 to £74,058 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

Working Style: Community-based worker

Closing Date: 2nd June 2024

This is a 6 or 12 month Secondment opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Children's Improvement Partnerships Team and contribute to practice improvement internally and across a wide range of local authorities. The CIP team is working with around 12 local authorities across the UK and is also seeking to expand.

The role will involve working directly with senior leaders in partner authorities, understanding their improvement needs; planning and leading diagnostic exercises, workshops, conferences and other forms of support. The successful candidate will lead and support Essex staff who are contributing to Sector Led Improvement work and will assist in developing the support offer both within the SLIP programme, and with other partners.

The Children's Improvement Partnership Team also leads on our Internal Diagnostic program so this role provides the opportunity to improve your professional profile both internally and externally.

The successful applicant will be an experienced children and families social work service manager with a track record of leading a high performing service, and an interest in supporting partners on their improvement journeys.

Please ensure you have informed your line manager of your expression of interest and that you are in a position to start the secondment.

Please feel free to contact Dave Barron to have an informal discussion.

Interviews date to be confirmed.
