Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our team in Southampton.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children under 5years old. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Nursery Manager in daily operations and ensure the well-being of all children under your care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the supervision and care of children in the nursery
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
- Ensure the safety and security of all children at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to plan and implement educational programs
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care
- Provide support to the Nursery Manager as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to drive organizational goals and objectives
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
