Crynodeb

Due to an increase in activity in all aspects of the unit and the installation of a third scanner, we are seeking an additional highly motivated and talented MR radiographer to join the imaging team at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR). We are looking for someone who will enjoy working in a cutting-edge clinical research environment performing advanced MRI research techniques (cardiac, liver and neuro), and actively participate in the clinical cardiac MR service as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, radiographers, nurses and physicists. You will primarily assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, effective and flexible MR scanning service for the cardiovascular, liver and neuro-imaging clinical and research protocols within OCMR. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of imaging and patient care; assist in protocol development and set up (both hardware and software aspects) and help provide training and supervision of the imaging aspects of the unit. You will work with and be supported by the lead radiographer and the imaging team.

You will provide a high quality MRI imaging service to OCMR for cardiovascular, liver and neuro-imaging research and support the clinical CMR service where appropriate as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients, research participants and normal volunteers undergoing imaging.

You are required to hold a DCR or BSc (Hons) radiography and show evidence of MRI experience (ideally in cardiac and or neuro/ liver imaging). Experience of working within a research field (or evidence of some independent research) would be desirable.

This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years and you will be based at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR), Level 0, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU

Applications for this vacancy are to be made online; you will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement which explains how you meet the selection criteria for the post.

Only applications received before 12.00 midday on 07 June 2024 can be considered. Interviews are scheduled to take place later in June.
