Start Date: Monday 3rd June 2024 until Friday 19th July 2024
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Position Overview:
Veritas Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a supportive and dedicated teaching team. An excellent opportunity for an experienced educator with a strong background of teaching KS1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons using evidence-based programs
- Incorporate a variety of multisensory activities and resources to support acquisition and develop academic skills.
- Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for development.
- Assess student progress through ongoing observation, formative assessment, and periodic assessments, providing targeted support and intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the school's initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education or relevant subject area, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching in a Key Stage 1 setting, with a strong understanding of principles, progression, and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can succeed.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to practice.
