This new full-time, permanent post is available from 1 September 2024. This role is open-ended but linked to funding which is due to end on 31 August 2028.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role
You will play a leading role in the UKRI Functional Genomics (FGx) Initiative coordination hub based at the University of Exeter Medical School working alongside the Director of the FGx Initiative, Professor Jonathan Mill. The senior project manager will be responsible for driving and monitoring the delivery of the initiative, working with the Director to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. The senior project manager will play a key role in project governance and working with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered. They will need to collaborate across the University and other organisations involved in the FGx Initiative through formal and informal networks, interact with senior academic and Professional Services leaders and have the personal credibility to influence others in order to deliver the range of activities planned through this programme. This requires a proven ability to lead and manage projects and work at a strategic level.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
