Job OverviewTo carryout Maintenance and Project work within the MoD estate, visiting ships and third party works.
Main Duties
1. Provide support to the B&CE section with regards to all building and civil works.
2. Install guttering and valleys to flat and pitched roofs in line with manufacturers recommendations.
3. Install flashings, soffits and fascia to all types of roofs.
4. Carryout building and concreting works within your capabilities including ground works, new build and general construction including manholes and drainage runs.
5. To carry maintenance tasks internal and external to buildings, and others. To cover reactive, remedial, PPM tasks.
6. To carryout/support first and second fix during project work.
7. Request any stores or materials required for the job.
8. Complete risk assessments and method statements for each task ensuring every job is done safely.
9. Dispose of all waste materials in accordance with local regulatory authority requirements.
10. To provide assistance in all other areas of the contract, where deemed competent.
11. Participate in ongoing training to maintain business requirements.
12. Ensure that all equipment in use is tested and within date prior to use.
13. Carry out any other request within your competences.
14. Comply with H&S requirements.
15. Ad Hoc duties as required, this job description is not mutually exclusive.
16. Attend meetings and provide technical input as required.
17. If required must be willing and available to attend training abroad.
18. Use and care for company vehicles in accordance with Mitie vehicle policy.
19. Become part of an on-call roster if required by the business.

Specific qualifications/skills required: Experience, Class B Driver's licence.
Experience required: Proven record of experience in the industry.
Other desirable skills/experience: Pragmatic individual with experience working for demanding client/customers.
