Crynodeb
We are recruiting experienced Housing Support Workers in the Merseyside region to provide housing & tenancy support to vulnerable individuals who are at risk of homelessness with varied levels of needs & backgrounds. You'll be working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week and can receive hourly rates of up to £17ph.
Your new role
- Processing incoming referrals, completing sign-ups and inductions with new tenants
- Reviewing and updating support plans, risk assessments and signposting to relevant external agencies
- General advice and support relating to benefits such as Universal Credit and PIP
- Carry out property inspections and room checks, reporting any maintenance requirements, compliance matters or concerns regarding safeguarding
- Routine testing of fire safety equipment including doors, alarms and emergency lighting
- Attend multi-agency meetings where appropriate and work in partnership with various external agencies & stakeholders
- Manage low level ASB
What you'll need to succeed
- Min 6 months experience within a supported housing or outreach role
- Ability to complete & review individual risk assessments and support plans with positive achievable outcomes to encourage independent living
- Knowledge of current housing and homelessness legislations
- Good knowledge of welfare benefits and safeguarding
