Math's, English & Functional Skills Tutor needed across Stratford-upon-Avon
Are you ready to begin a new role that enables you to transform the lives of children and empower you to make a lasting impact on your local community?
At Teacher Active, we have partnerships with the local councils to help provide group and 121 tuition, to children unable to attend school.
We need tutors who are able to create a a nurturing environment whereby the children can learn and grow. As a professional tutor, your primary focus will be on teaching, inspiring, and supporting their development and progression.
What you’ll be doing:
• Tailor your sessions to each child's unique needs, following the national curriculum.
• You'll be the guiding force that helps the children achieve real progress and unlock the joy of learning.
• Build strong relationships through enthusiasm and dedication to learning.
The application process:
Stage one: Submit your cv and complete your application.
Stage two: Complete TeacherActive's registration and compliance checks
Stage three: Discussion with ourselves about the individual roles we have with the council and decide which one is for you
Logistics of the role:
• You’ll work 121 with a child not currently in mainstream school
• You must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours over 2 days a week.
• Working days are between Monday - Friday with varying hours depending on the tuition you decide to pick up
• £30 per hour
All tutors receive weekly payment through PAYE with no agency deductions from this payment
To apply:
• 6 months minimum experience working with children or young people that we can reference - x2
• Ideally you will have experience with SEND or an understanding
• You’ll need to have a 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent.
• You’ll have the right to work in the UK.
• You’ll be able to physically get to the area you are applying for.
• You must be 18 or over.
All successful applicants will need to undertake x2 reference checks, and a Disclosure & Barring Service check on the update service.
