Spray Centre is currently recruiting a Production Worker - Paints & Coatings to join our dynamic team. Based predominantly in our paint mixing room the role involves mixing paints and other coatings accurately and a clean workplace is maintained. An eye for colour is needed as colour identification and correction is a daily requirement. The candidate will be working in a small, close-knit team and should be self-motivated, proactive, use their initiative and follow health and safety practices.
Hours: 45 per week (8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday)
Starting from £28,000 depending on experience
28 days holiday and sick pay support

Principle Duties and Responsibilities.
Working predominantly in our paint production area
To record orders placed by email, telephone and WhatsApp
To interact with customers needing advice by email, telephone and WhatsApp
Serve customers over our trade counter
To produce paints and coatings in accordance with the manufacturer’s formulations
To produce the product in sufficient time to meet delivery requirements
To be aware of key points in time during the working day
To be aware of and follow the appropriate operating procedures for the activities in hand
To undergo whatever training is deemed necessary in order to develop and improve your contribution
To ensure that your area of operation is kept clean, tidy and safe
Skills and Experience:
An eye for colour as colour identification from swatches and colour correction to samples provided by customers is a daily task
Previous experience of working in the paint industry is an advantage but not essential as training will be given
Good numeric and literacy skills
I.T. and Microsoft Access
Able to work in a methodical orderly and tidy manner
Good attendance and punctuality record
Be able to follow Health & Safety Regulations
