P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Production Planner Assistant to join their team based in Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:
This role will support the production planning team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing process. You will assist in coordinating production schedules, tracking inventory levels, and analysing data to optimise production efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating and maintaining the production schedules, and ensure all relevant documents are issued in a timely manner including shop order bar coded paperwork, shop order pick list, drawings, any other additional paperwork required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure availability of materials.
• Update on a daily basis the company’s internal ERP system – IFS.
• Generate reports via the ERP system to check material availability and shortage notifications, and issue to departments when required.
• Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Qualified to a minimum of a Level 3 standard (A Levels, NVQs or equivalent) in a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficient in MS office, especially excel.
• Knowledge and experience of an ERP or MRP system, ideally IFS or equivalent.

• Have a general understanding of manufacturing or production processes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Be able to learn new skills quickly, and have a friendly, flexible attitude to your work.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday (37.5 hours a week).
