Hours: 08:30-16:00pm

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We're currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team in a Primary School in the North of Cardiff. This part-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children aged 3-6 with severe and complex needs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Early Years Special Educational Resource Base within the Primary School.
- Provide support to children with a variety of needs, including autism, global delay, and physical difficulties.
- Assist with personal care duties, including nappy changing.
- Work alongside experienced SEN teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in SEN education or care is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and nurturing in challenging situations.
- Demonstrated resilience and adaptability to sudden changes in behaviour.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Comfortable with supporting personal care tasks.
- Commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEN.

Desirable Qualification:
- Makaton training (not essential)

Vetting Requirements:
- Enhanced CHILD ONLY DBS (On the Update Service)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council as a School Learning Support Worker
- 10-year career history with 2 years of suitable references
