Job Title: Assistant Project Accountant

Role Overview:
You will play a crucial role in supporting and managing customer-focused Project Finance deliverables. Your responsibilities will contribute to the effective and profitable delivery of customer projects by overseeing all financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Driving Business Performance: Provide insights, analysis, and business intelligence to enhance performance. Support working capital cycle management for projects.
• Reporting: Deliver accurate month-end management reports on time, including project reporting outputs and monthly management reports with in-depth analysis.
• Project Lifecycle Support: Assist project teams across all project stages, from setup to closure, including forecasting, trading, and analysis.
• Financial Control: Ensure compliance with financial control frameworks and policies. Support internal and external audit processes.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within Project Finance. Support ongoing Finance Modernization activities, particularly in digital reporting enhancements.
• Systems Improvement: Contribute to system enhancements and adapt to a data-centric and digital culture.
• People Development: Continuously develop skills and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
• Experience in project accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with IBM Cognos TM1, LN, or SAP is beneficial.
• Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build internal networks.
• Collaborative approach with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs)
Qualifications:
• CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or Part Qualified
Clearance Requirement:
• Must be able to pass BPSS clearance
