Our client, a busy, family-owned garage based in St Austell are seeking to appoint a part time PSV driver for school runs and occasional ad-hoc school holiday work which would be paid at an increased rate, you will be joining their hard working, dedicated team.
Our clients Garage has a loyal customer base having been established for over 30 years and has the trust of the local community through their honest and open approach to vehicle maintenance.
What we offer:
• Monday - Friday - 07:30 - 09:45 and 15:10 - 17:10.
• 22.5H per week
• Term Time - £13.40 per hour.
• Ad-hoc school holidays - £15 per hour.
• Holiday pay accrued.
• Weekly pay.
The role:
• We are looking for an already qualified PSV / PCV bus driver to work on a permanent part time basis working on a special needs contract.
• You will be representing our company and so we would expect you to have a good level of customer service focus, being flexible and friendly.
• You would be expected to work with a Passenger Assistant on board to work as a team to help deliver your passengers to and from the centre safely.
• Any experience working with special needs children or adults, and a positive, can-do attitude would be of benefit.
Requirements:
• Qualified PSV / PCV bus driver.
• We require you to have a Driver Licence with current Category D (or D1) Licence and no restrictions on it (no 101 in section 12. on the back of your photocard licence).
• To have this means you must have completed your PSV driver training and passed the necessary PSV driver tests to be able to do this job, not just have a provisional bus entitlement. A driver licence check would need to be completed.
• Driver CPC required to be current and valid so that you have a current Driver Qualification Card (DQC) also.
• An enhanced DBS from Cornwall Council would be desirable to have but this can be applied for the successful candidate.
