Locum Clinical Psychologist - Paediatrics

Main Duties/Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Consultant Paediatric Psychologist, other team members and the wider paediatric multi-disciplinary psycho-social team, contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive clinical psychology service for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
To propose and implement policy changes within the paediatric oncology clinical psychology service.
To provide specialist advice and consultation on patient's psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of the psychological practice within the service.
To ensure the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the Health and Care Profession's Council, British Psychological Society, and Trust policies and procedures.

Essential:

Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in Psychology
At least six months recent NHS experience
Must have Right to work in the UK / No sponsorship required
At Least two year's experience working in a diagnostic environment, demonstrating competence in a variety of examination protocols
