The Rheumatology Department is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated Medical Secretary to support the consultant team.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive secretarial service to consultants, junior and nursing medical staff within the service. This will include organising, planning and prioritising tasks and workload.
As a service, it is vitally important in that we provide a high quality service to patients, therefore if you are interested in joining a highly motivated team - it would be great to hear from you.
The successful post holder will be a highly motivated team player ideally with previous medical secretarial experience and possess sound administrative and clerical skills.
Excellent computer literacy is essential for the role, which will include the use of Microsoft Office packages and relevant databases. You will be highly organised, self motivated, have a flexible approach to work and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A clear understanding of patient confidentiality and being able to work to deadlines is also required. The role will include general support of typing including, audio typing, digital dictation and administrative duties, including cover for colleagues at times of service need.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
