Crynodeb
The pharmacy technician on site is responsible for managing and co-ordinating on site medication and working closely with the nursing staff to ensure all patients receive their medication as needed. Main responsibilities: Liaising with pharmacy branch staff to co-ordinate safe and effective medicine supply to the hospice; Upholding professional standards as per GPHC guidance; Communicate clearly and effectively with nursing staff; Stock management managing the supply and delivery of medications including controlled drugs, dressings, catheters; Completing weekly stock orders; Monthly date checking of all stock medication, expired stock is removed, and short dated stock is marked and stored so that it can be used first; Regular destruction of medication; Support with incoming patients and discharge; Unpacking, reconciling and putting orders away when they arrive.
