An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stoke City Football Club’s Category 1 Academy. Working on a casual basis, we are looking for an energetic and dynamic Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to support our Medical department in providing outstanding evidence based care.

The successful applicant will provide medical cover for match days and training sessions within the U9s to U16s programme. In addition, there may be further opportunity to assist with injury clinics when required.

As a casual Academy Therapist, you will be required to assess injuries sustained by Academy players, deliver effective and suitable treatment and management, along with supporting rehabilitation programmes. You will also be required to maintain up to date medical records and provide appropriate feedback to the player, parents and relevant Academy staff as well as attending relevant internal and external CPD events.

Key Skills and Experience

• Previous experience within an Academy setting.
• Previous experience working pitch side in sport.
• Full, clean driving licence is desirable
• BSc/MSc Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy qualification or equivalent (essential).
• Registration with the respective governing bodies (essential).
• Valid and in date FA ITMMiF (intermediate trauma medical management in football) qualification or equivalent (essential).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to cover home and away games throughout the season as well as weekends as required. The position will be offered on a casual and intermittent basis.
