Summary
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of South Asian curry dishes, including but not limited to, chicken curry, lamb curry, vegetable curry, and prawn curry.
Develop and refine recipes to ensure authenticity, consistency, and quality.
Assist the head chef to source and select high-quality ingredients, spices, and seasonings.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
Train junior kitchen staff on South Asian cooking techniques and recipes.
Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of dishes according to customer orders.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Curry Chef or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of South Asian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
