Substance Misuse Nurse

Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services – and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.

Contract: 37.5 hours, 12hr day/night shifts over 7 days – working a 24/7 shift pattern

Salary: £40,684.84 per annum – inclusive of shift and bank holiday working.

Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata)

Location: Hafan Wen, Wrexham Maelor Hospital

Job Purpose:

Provide primary nursing care making an appropriate assessment of patients’ care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes with the shift team, supervising them (on occasions) in the absence of the Lead Nurse.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical guidelines and procedures for the Residential Services Directorate by acquiring best practice knowledge based on the latest therapeutic concepts in the addictions and substance misuse fields.

The Nurse role operates on a 24/7 shift pattern.
