We are looking for to recruit to an exciting new role of a divisional Insight Manager. Reporting to the Director of Performance and Information, the post holder will be placed within the Corporate Information & Insight and Medicine/UEC, and will significantly contribute to meeting the area’s objectives through providing the lead on delivering analysis and insight, enabling effective performance management and evidence-based decision making. The role will have line management and professional development responsibility for divisional analysts and should be highly focused on impacting patient outcomes through data.

The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of a diverse range of performance and analytical work to a high level of accuracy, ensuring it is well presented and relevant to current policy and strategy within the division, Information & Insight, NUH, and the wider NHS. As such the post holder should be able to demonstrate experience in the identification and scoping of key work and the subsequent delivery and communication of impactful analytics from diverse information sources.

The post holder will be the trusted adviser of the division, with the ability to proactively suggest areas where data and analysis can add value to the division, and have a high level of experience of building excellent working relationships at all levels to ensure the analysis activity from their team is delivered in line with external requirements and aligned to the needs of the Trust.

The post-holder will engage outside of NUH where necessary to bring value-adding adding analytical tools and techniques into the Trust, and where appropriate to share work done at NUH with colleagues in the wider NHS.

Key role components:

- Single point of contact for all divisional matters

- Proactive identification of where information can support the divisions

- Receiver of work for the analysts and able to properly scope the work where needed

- Line manager of all analytical roles in the division

- Prioritisation of work requirements amongst the teams

- Ensure professional development of the team members

- Be a "storyteller" where need to triangulate key information to bring insight from data

- Where needed seek additional resource for the division from across NUH

Based at either City or QMC campus and able to travel as required to other NUH sites and occasionally to partners offices within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS area. It is likely that a blend of home working and office based working will be the norm for this role.
