We are a busy Press Tool and Manufacturing facility based in Coventry looking for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Must be qualified with upto date certification. Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment within an Engineering/Manufacturing company - mainly Presses and CNC Machines, with knowledge of Trumpf Lasers an advantage.

This is a hands on role, servicing and upgrading machines in the workshop along with maintaining all Plant, Electricals and general Equipment and Machinery.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - COVENTRY
Overall Purpose
To ensure that Coventry’s machines, lasers, presses and ancillary equipment are properly maintained, maximising the site’s overall equipment efficiency. To play a key role in the introduction of a system of Preventative Maintenance that will maximise output, reducing downtime and minimising company expenditure. To play a key role in ensuring the site is properly maintained and a safe environment for its workers.
Reporting to the Senior Maint Engineer and Head of Tooling Operations
Responsibilities
• The efficient planning of all machinery, laser and press maintenance.
• Attend to Machinery and/or Installation Breakdowns, assessing problem, formulating countermeasure and implementing fix whilst providing realistic time estimates to the team for planning purposes.
• Site maintenance.
• Assist in ensuring the site is a safe working environment.
• Assist in the introduction and installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Supervision and liaison with outside subcontractors.
• Professional communication with and control of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with H&S Policy.
• Assist the company in the elimination of waste and the reduction of electricity costs.
• Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Gateshead operations (as well as Coventry), Providing support where necessary
Skills and Attributes
• Prioritising task and organising resources.
• First class communication and planning skills.
• Experience of Maintenance planning systems, excel and email.
• PLCs
Qualifications and Experience
• Electrical biased HND or similar qualification.
• HV Electrical qualification.
• Experience of 5 axis CNC machines, lasers and presses
• Knowledge of H&S requirements.
• A track record of success and achievement within similar organisations
• Experience of fault finding on Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Extensive Experience of Tier 1/2 Manufacturing environment

Pay is dependant on experience.
33 Days holiday a year
39 hour working week

1pm finish on Fridays
