What's involved with this role:

Temporary Cleaner

Pay rate: £11.78 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 35-37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

This opening assignment is for 1-2 months

City: DURHAM

A Cleaner is required to undertake routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming and to maintain cleanliness throughout the premises. Ensure that all areas are kept tidy and presentable and to clean and sanitise restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.

Key responsibilities:

Provide an efficient and effective cleaning service, working to agreed standards.
Use equipment, cleaning machines and techniques as directed by cleaning supervision and management to effectively clean all areas.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a responsible manner.
Routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
Clean and sanitise restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning operation.

Experience in general cleaning activities.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures.
Some knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Ability to complete paperwork.
Ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
