TeacherActive are currently working closely with several Primary Schools in and around the Tonypandy area, including Pentre, Porth, Treorchy and Ferndale. Due to a high demand in cover, we are in need of a Primary Supply Teacher to join our team of excellent staff!
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work on a day-to-day or long term basis and will be responsible for covering the class for the permanent teacher and carry out lesson plans that will be left in their absence. You will need to hold high standards of classroom management, ensuring student’s work is completed to expectation and supporting them when needed, whilst providing a hand over for the class teacher in regards to anything they must know. Working with different year groups across the Primary School, you will need to have experience teaching from KS1 to KS2 and be flexible around the times of 08:30am – 15:30pm.
This role offers you the opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your skills and make a positive impact on pupils learning. Whether you’re delivering pre-prepared lessons, proving support to students or leading classroom activities, your contributions will have an invaluable effect in the learning process of your students.
The successful Primary Supply Teacher will have:
• UK QTS with teaching experience in a Primary School setting
• Flexible and adaptable to teach up to Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Excellent communication and classroom management
• The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students’ learning and development
