We are a small, friendly, dynamic team serving our patients across Cambridge University Hospitals.



We are looking to attract a candidate who will be able to motivate, develop and facilitate training of junior members of staff in conjunction with the other Band 7 Physiologists. You are required to have good organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills and will be required to work as part of a team in this busy department. In return we are able to offer access to training and development opportunities and a wide variety of procedures.



We are a progressive, enthusiastic team waiting to welcome new members and actively encourage continued professional development.



We have a busy inpatient workload providing support and trouble shooting in a busy ED and all services throughout the trust.

CPD is actively encouraged, and we have a busy audit and research program for you to get involved in.



A Band 6 to 7 development post may be considered for candidates who expect to meet the essential requirements for a Band 7 role within the next 12 months.



There is currently a retention and recruitment premia of 12.5% pro rata in place.







You will be involved in all aspects of the Cardiology Department. First and foremost is the ability to be part of a team.

The department has undergone a period of extensive growth and development.You will work predominantly within the invasive service whilst providing support to the non-invasive service as required.



The cardiac catheterisation service includes left and right heart catheterisation, pacemaker and ILR implant and follow-up, and complex device implant and follow-up (CRT, ICD and S-ICD, conduction system pacing).You will be independent in angiogram, implant and follow-up for brady pacing and ILR clinic and should have experience in ICD and CRT, ideally with BHRS certification/IBHRE accreditation in full or part.

There may be opportunity for training within physiologist led Linq implants.



The department currently holds IQIPS accreditation and you will be expected to contribute to maintaining this.



Full and ongoing training and support will be provided for the successful candidate with a view to acquire further qualifications and accreditation.



You will be expected to remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one-to-one basis with the general public and other interest
