Balfour Winery, located in Staplehurst, is one of England's leading wine producers, creating award winning wines, beers and ciders which are enjoyed all over the world. Located on the beautiful Hush Heath Estate, in Staplehurst, Kent, the winery welcomes visitors all year round for tours, tastings and events.

The Role:

We are looking for a Sous Chef who is a strong leader with great kitchen skills and strong attention to detail. The ability to motivate, and support a team is essential. A passion for fresh food is required and the ability to bring ideas to the table, to support the Head Chef in menu development and kitchen management.

The right person will be a hardworking, creative industry professional.

We require a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar level position, the ability to work on your own initiative, to maintain company standards and manage a kitchen team well. We would also consider applications from Junior Sous Chefs of high turnover businesses who are looking to step up in their career.

You’ll be working with seasonal, local and regional ingredients, in a well-equipped kitchen – within a company that really understands the importance of getting food right.
