A brief description of the individual requiring support:
I have two children, a son age 9 and a daughter age 6. Both have some developmental trauma and attachment issues which cause emotional and behavioural difficulties. My son is also autistic and has ADHD. My son is at a specialist school and needs support to manage his emotions and social situations. He enjoys using technology to play games (e.g. Roblox) and playing with things such as Lego, playdoh or cut out characters. He often needs some encouragement and support to go out but does enjoy himself once out. My youngest is a very sociable, friendly little girl who loves spending time outside and playing with her baby dolls.
Brief details of the job:
The main purpose of this job is to work alongside me caring for and supporting my children. This job will be primarily to look after my son, but you may also need to supervise and support my daughter whilst I do activities with my son.
Hours will vary between term time and school holidays.
Term time hours
Weekend - 6 hours; Day and times can be negotiable but may need to be slightly flexible to fit with variable children’s activities
During school holidays (school holiday days/hours will be agreed by all parties with as much notice as possible)
Weekdays - 1 or 2 full days per week: 08.00 – 17.30 most likely Wednesday, Thursday or Friday
Weekend - 6 hours as per term time hours
School holiday duties on weekdays will be to care for, support and entertain my son whilst I am at work
Some flexibility is required as start and end times may need to change slightly once routine and scheduled activities are organised.
A car driver with own car is required to be able to take children out to activities.
