We’re looking for two Senior Product Managers to join our amazing work at DWP Digital.

You will lead and guide a supportive team where you will work together to design and build the right things.

DWP Digital is the digital part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). We build and maintain digital services that enable millions of people to access the help, advice and financial support they need.

We want to be reflective of the diversity of the UK and we have a plan to be fully representative by 2025.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead a team or portfolio of teams and in this role you will:

  • Understand and translate the mission – You will need to understand and communicate with teams and stakeholders how the problem you are solving contributes to achieving our mission and support the product mangers on the teams to articulate the value they are delivering.
  • Product Management – Focus on delivering value continuously - work with the product teams to agree approach and roadmaps, connect our work to agreed outcomes and support the development of delivery plans and communicating progress to the wider business as appropriate.
  • User focussed - Act as the voice of all users (citizen and business) during discussions with teams and stakeholders.
  • Data driven – Engage with data professionals to inform the development of the service based on evidence and ensure we are designing the service to capture the data we need to measure value on an ongoing basis.
  • Agile - Ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment and utilises an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid pragmatic delivery.
  • Line management of product people or a variety of specialist digital colleagues.

Our current product managers say “Working in DWP (and government) can be challenging but very rewarding. The support offered by the practice is extensive and invaluable.”

You will be part of a healthy Product Community of Practice whereby you will share what you are doing and also gain valuable input from your fellow PMs.

The role may not be easy at times, but you’ll be well supported, and you’ll get a minimum of 5 days learning and development annually.

If you have any problems or concerns with the application process, email: digitalrecruitment.grs@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.
