A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Room Leader to become a valued member of a fantastic team at our clients warm and friendly nursery which is proudly located within the heart of a vibrant residential area. This amazing nursery has undergone an impressive refurbishment and features a sensory room and a fantastic outdoor garden area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for our Room Leader:

·To be a confident room leader with the ability to lead and support the team and to implement good structure and routine

·Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

·Encourage each child to develop a love for learning by inspiring them to be more inquisitive and discover their own interests resulting in curious, independent lifelong learners

·Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones

·Carry out observations and maintain excellent developmental and achievement records

·Build and maintain strong parent/carer relationships and work in partnership to have a positive impact on children’s development and learning experiences

·Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

Essential Skills and Experience:

·A recognised Level 3 or above Early Years qualification is essential for this role

·Previous experience of working in a childcare setting

·A passion to make learning fun and engaging for the children

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to use a variety of techniques to build trust and strong working relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers

·Excellent knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and wider legislative requirements


Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday between 8am and 6pm and Friday between 8am and 2pm
