You will line manage staff in this locality and be involved in supervision and support for Band 6 SLTs, Band 5s including NQPs and SLT TIs, apprentices and students. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage in the Trusts supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme. A leadership qualification or relevant experience is desirable. Oxfordshire Childrens Integrated Therapy Service is made up of Childrens Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, profession specific Therapy Instructors, Integrated Therapy Assistant Practitioners and an Administrative Team. We are jointly commissioned by the ICB and Oxfordshire County Council. The Service is led by Operational Managers and Professional Leads for each Therapy. The SLT team is made up of Band 5 and 6 Therapists, Technical Assistants, Apprentices, and both Specialist Team Leads and Specialist Clinical Leads (Band 7). We provide Speech and Language Therapy for children and young people aged 0 19 years across Oxfordshire in a range of settings. The Service delivery model is based on six Clinical Pathways and underpinned by the current evidence base. As a Specialist Team Lead, you will join the Childrens Integrated Therapy (CIT) Leadership Team which includes Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Therapy teams have strong links with education colleagues, paediatricians, and AHPs across Oxford Health Trust. We offer a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing supervision and appraisal with development reviews from experienced specialist staff, regular in house training as well as opportunities for involvement in Service Development.
