About the Role

Are you ready to make a real impact on the next generation of business professionals? Wiltshire College & University Centre invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Business at our prominent Salisbury campus.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lecturer in Business, you will be at the forefront of inspiring and guiding our students towards success.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Teaching Excellence:

  • Engaging students with dynamic classroom sessions to teach a diverse range of Business programs, including BTEC Business Level 2 and 3 programs. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in the launch of the innovative T Level in Business Management for the 2024/25 academic year covering both theoretical concepts and practical skills.
  • Fostering a positive learning environment where curiosity thrives, and knowledge is shared.
  • Preparing well-structured schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that ignite student interest.

Student Enrichment:

  • Going beyond the classroom! Participate in parents' evenings, community projects, and external exhibitions.
  • Organising study trips, connecting theory to real-world scenarios.
  • Supporting students' pastoral needs, ensuring their holistic development.

Quality Assurance:

  • Contributing to the quality of provision by monitoring retention rates, attendance, success rates, and progression.
  • Keeping resource materials up to date, reflecting industry best practices.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.

About You

We are looking for someone who embodies passion, expertise and dedication. Here's what we're seeking:

A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above.

  • Substantial experience in a business role within industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with and motivate young learners aged 16-18.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to the success of our students.
  • A teaching qualification or a willingness to pursue one, demonstrating your dedication professional development and excellence in education.
