Our client, an award-winning network of accountants, specialising in servicing the needs of small businesses and self-employed individuals across the UK, is looking for an experienced Payroll Associate to join their team.

The role

  • To ensure delivery of payroll services to agreed service levels
  • To manage and process a number of franchisee and client payrolls, including onboarding and processing using BrightPay Payroll software.
  • Ensure statutory payroll and pension monthly and annual returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensure statutory compliance on all pay related practices and guidance given to clients, franchisees and our technical support team
  • To keep abreast of all statutory legislation
  • To maintain Payroll Bureau Procedures in general and for each client
  • To manage day-to-day pay related enquiries including pay, pension, furlough matters for franchisees, clients and our technical support team
  • To assist and support the team as reasonably required


Qualifications and Experience

  • Recent experience in payroll services as part of an outsourced team recent experience on payroll bureau/chartered accountancy practice preferred.
  • Experience with payroll management software, Brightpay preferred
  • Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills
  • Excellent phone and verbal communications and active listening skills, internally and externally
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work remotely and to work well within a team
