STaR Worker An opportunity has arisen for a STaR Worker to join the team at Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation University NHS Trust's Placement Service. The post holder will work closely with Placement advisors; namely Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, within the team and wider mental health services to support individuals through the social care pathway within placement settings. The individual will be motivated, adaptable and flexible; to work with individuals in creative ways to support and enable individuals through the placement pathway alongside placement advisors. A supportive, pro-active, and enthusiastic approach to support colleagues, social care providers, service user's and their families is required in this role. The applicant will be well organized; and passionate about quality care; as well as promoting independence; and supporting the implementation of effective care and support plans alongside social care providers. Qualifications/Equivalent Experience Essential NVQ Level 3 qualification or Mental Health Certificate Level 3 or agreement to undertake such training as soon as resources permit. NVQ Mental Health Certificate Level 2. Understanding of the Care Act Understanding of the Mental Health Act- or ability to learn. 2 years experience of working within the social care field, or similar or with personal lived experience of Mental Health difficulties. In addition to the basic salary Band 4, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement.
