SDS are looking for a Trainee Utility Surveyor to work alongside our Utility Surveyors and carry out multiple surveying tasks including; tracing, positioning and survey of below ground assets such as cables, ducts & pipes with the use of various techniques including electro-magnetic location, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) manhole inspection etc.
The role/position overview
We require a hardworking & ambitious individual to join our team of experienced , high quality survey teams to be trained in the use of the latest High Definition Array GPR, electro-magnetic, & geodetic equipment. This role would involve liaising with clients and writing reports upon investigation and requires an individual to work both independently or as part of a team.

Requirements
Candidates should be hardworking, flexible and conscientious.
Possess good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The applicant needs to demonstrate professionalism and credibility
Full clean UK manual driving license
Flexibility of working away from home and out of hours
Experience
Some understanding of surveying principles.
Any experience of 2D, 3D CAD or any other Graphics packages.
An enthusiasm for travel.
A keen problem solver.
