Job Description
Head Office Location: Sherdley Farm Offices, Ratten Lane, Hutton, Preston
Hours: 40 hours per week(overtime available)
Salary: £13 per hour (£27,040 PA equivalent)
Role Description:
Based in Preston and currently employing over 100 staff nationwide, our dynamic, proactive and growing business has been successful in being awarded a safety critical surveying project. Initially awarded for a 6 month period, we are assembling a team of 10 enthusiastic, organised and self motivated individuals to work in teams of two in and around the north west area under the supervision of our senior surveyor. Every team member will be fully trained in the operation of our highly specialised Resistograph device, exclusively used for this survey work, no previous experience is required.
We need articulate, technology aware team players to work with us in delivering this cutting edge survey. You will be a self starter, articulate and confident with a full clean driving licence and able to demonstrate your right to work in the UK. Working with our office based planner, our field based teams of two will be responsible for surveying and recording the results of the resistograph tests using the latest, real time technology.
Beyond the initial 6 months of this contract we have many other exciting opportunities in the power transmission sector, we're helping the UK work towards its goal of net zero by 2050. Are you up for the challenge? Do you want to make a difference? Well, it can start here with training planned to begin on Monday 27th May 2024.
Specific Responsibilities:
Operation of Resistograph device
Daily progress updates
Full clean driving licence
Provide support to the Office Team as required
Experience, Skills and Key Requirements:
All training provided
Technology capable (hand held devices, spreadsheets etc)
Previous experience not essential
Planning and organisational skills
Able to manage own workload and prioritise
Excellent communication skills
Team player
Positive attitude
Job Types: Initial 6 month contract

Pay: £13.00 per hour
