Behaviour Inclusion Mentor

Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome challenges and succeed in their learning journey?

Do you have experience in behaviour management and a commitment to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Inclusion Mentor to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students. This position will be based at a primary school in Harehills commencing September 2024 on a long-term, temporary contract.

About the Role:
- As a Behaviour Inclusion Mentor, you will work closely with students, teachers, and families to support the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of our students.
- You will provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students who may be experiencing behavioural challenges, helping them to develop coping strategies and build positive relationships.
- Your role will involve implementing behaviour management strategies, facilitating small group sessions, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity throughout the school.
- You will collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop individualized support plans and monitor student progress towards behavioural goals.
- Based at a primary school located in the vibrant community of Harehills, Leeds, dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all our students.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a behaviour support or mentoring role is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and a commitment to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion within the school community.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support, counselling, or a related field would be advantageous. Team Teach qualification is highly beneficial.
