Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 7-8 months

City: Nuneaton, Warwickshire

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the day to day support and administration required by the Housing Services team, including the Communities team.

Key Responsibilities:

To create and terminate rent and garage accounts on the Housing Management system.
To manage any tenancy amendments needed on rent accounts, including rent refunds and Direct Debit amendments.
To provide general administration support on a day to day basis in relation to a number of housing related services, such as mutual exchanges, abandoned properties, sign up’s, scanning, mail merges, keeping supply of leaflets and information up to date and any other administrative tasks commensurate with the role.
Establish and maintain electronic records and filing systems understanding any relevant statutory timescales that are required.
Undertake basic research tasks and specific projects, compile basic reports related to the service, and provide feedback to managers regarding findings.
Produce and co-ordinate Performance Indicator information and reports under the supervision of the Tenancy Services Manager.
Manage the post to the teams, logging, acknowledging, and distributing to the relevant member of staff to ensure we meet our service standards.
Provide a high level of customer’s service when discussing potentially emotive situations with customers and give clear information and advice to those who may be distressed.
Organise and attend relevant meetings, set up appointments, as requested by managers and where required take notes and distribute to staff.
Manage the garage waiting list and allocate garages accordingly.

Qualifications:

Qualification at level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent qualification.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Previous experience in undertaking clerical/administrative duties, including keeping accurate records.
Previous experience of working in a Local Government setting
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, face to face, over the telephone and in writing.
Excellent working knowledge of in the use of computer systems including word processing and Excel.
Ability to identify when information should be passed on to other members of the housing team.
Ability to be accurate with records and figures and compile basic reports for management use.
Have good written and verbal communication, customer care and interpersonal skills.
