I am working with a SEND school in Chester who are looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to work various days accross their school. The working day is 8.30am - 3.30pm.
This school are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the student's they work with. They are devoted to providing high quality academic, emotional and sensory support to students from aged 4 - 19, with a varying additional needs. The school is equipped with state of the art facilities with a hydrotherpay pool, sensory rooms and a forest school on site.
Your responsibilities will include working accross all areas of the school, working with students on a small group on 1:1 basis, promoting their independence and development. You will be required to work closely with Teachers, support staff and Health Care staff ensuring all students get the most from their time in education and their needs are prioritized. There is a continence team on site, so there will be no aspects of personal care in this role.
In order to apply for this role, you must:
- Have experience or an interest in working with children with Learning Difficulties within either an educational setting or transferable sectors such as care & support work.
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or above (desirable).
- Be willing to undertake the relevant online CPD courses/training prior to starting the role.
- Are flexible in their approach to working with pupils, adapting to meet their diverse needs.
