SEN SECONDARY TEACHING ASSISTANT Location:

Salary:
£90 - £110 Per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their academic and personal development
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans for SEN students
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques
Education:
Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
Experience:
Prior experience working in a school setting or with SEN students is advantageous
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN provisions and support methods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Patience and empathy towards students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a secondary school setting
- Full-time hours with regular school term schedule
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and SEN coordinators
- Opportunity for professional development and training
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a secondary school environment, supporting teachers and students during school hours. The successful candidate may need to attend training sessions and staff meetings outside of regular school hours.
