Degree in Occupational Therapy To work within trust clinical guidelines and Royal College of OT and HCPC standards. To have working knowledge of national andlocal standards and monitor own quality and safety of practice. Excellent communication and interaction skills. Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skill. Demonstrate effective communication skills and experiences of using these with children, young people and families. Ability to carry out assessments and treatments with children who may have severe physical, cognitive, behavioural and sensory impairment and poor mobility with frequent intense physical effort on a daily basis e.g. handling of heavy body parts.
