Job Description:

As a Commis Chef in our off-site production kitchen, you will assist in various aspects of food preparation and production under the guidance of our experienced chefs. This role is perfect for someone passionate about starting a career in the culinary arts and eager to learn in a dynamic and supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.

Learn and adhere to health and safety standards in the kitchen.

Help with the receipt and storage of deliveries, ensuring that all produce is fresh and stored correctly.

Gain hands-on experience in different sections of the kitchen, such as bakery, pastry, and hot kitchen.

Participate in learning about sustainable practices, including the cultivation and use of home-grown produce.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times.

Support the team in inventory management and ensuring minimal food wastage.

Be proactive in learning new cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

Work collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.



Qualifications:

A keen interest in a culinary career.

Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

A willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.

Good communication skills and team spirit.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
