The School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Laboratory and Clean Room Technical Officer (including Safety Co-ordinator role) within the Department of Electrical Engineering & Electronics. The role will support and ensure the efficient and safe operation of all Cleanrooms in the Dept as well as obligatory functions relating to Health & Safety. Providing critical support and advice to staff and students, this is a rare opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to develop their skills and knowledge working with research groups across a wide-ranging project portfolio.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, results-drive team player with a passion for the discipline. You should have a relevant HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline at an equivalent level. A NEBOSH qualification would also be desirable, as would holding a chartered membership of a professional health & safety body. The post is permanent.
