About us and the role
We have an opportunity for you to support the Director of Economy and Place. The service is innovative and designed to support the Council’s agenda in shaping our future places and the direction and growth of Warwickshire.
As PA to the Director, you will be working in a fast paced and changing environment providing a high level secretarial and administrative service tailored to individual requirements. This role will involve building effective relationships with internal colleagues and a range of external stakeholders, to provide proactive, effective, and efficient support to the Director.
We want Warwickshire to have a thriving economy and prosperous places with the right jobs, skills, and infrastructure. All of this work is led by our Director of Economy and Place. Warwickshire has a strong and dynamic economy and is home to many UK and international brands, as well as being a major global centre for vehicle electrification and is bordered by two “top ten” universities. There is a lot happening in Economy and Place that we want you to become a part of.
Key Requirements
The postholder will ensure the effective provision of support to the Director including:
- Email management; including taking appropriate independent action and responding on the Director’s behalf where appropriate.
- Diary and time management; including arranging and coordinating meetings, booking conferences and making travel arrangements.
- Organisation and administration of meetings, including Senior Leadership Team meetings, incorporating agenda preparation, forward planning and minute taking.
- Collation of information to prepare subject-specific correspondence and briefing notes.
- Managing report governance deadlines, including proof-reading and formatting of reports.
- Managing timely responses to correspondence.
- Taking accountability for expenditure against the Director's budget and maintenance of accurate records.
- Provision of proactive administrative support to members of the Director’s Senior Leadership Team.
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Hybrid working is part of our ethos. We are flexible in the way we work; however, this role will require a regular presence at our office base in Warwick.

Additional Information
