The Park Academies Trust is seeking a keen and motivated IT Apprentice to join our knowledgeable team.The Park Academies Trust seeks an IT Apprentice to be based at our Abbey Park School.
The successful candidate will gain experience working with students with all elements of a busy IT Support department – including Helpdesk management, machine repair and technical problem solving.
Initially the apprentice will work under the direct supervision of our experienced team, moving on to undertaking some tasks independently when s/he has the knowledge and confidence to do so.
You will be given an induction programme and be expected to take part in whole school and department training. You will be under the supervision and have the support of our experienced Network Manager and Technicians. There will be opportunities to take part in work and IT projects that match your own interests.
This apprenticeship will be through training delivered on the job and with the support of your course assessor who will visit you approximately every 3/4 weeks to complete on-the-job assessments, this usually takes between 1-2 hours but depends on how much support the apprentice requires from the assessor. You will also be required to attend Swindon College for 1-2 evenings per week for 30 weeks.
