Customer Service Assistant (Job ref: CUL002)
Salary: £9,698.39 pro rata'd (£23,151 per annum/ £12 per hour)
Hours: 15.5 hours per week (see working pattern below)
Location: Cullompton Library
Closing date: 9am, Tuesday 28th May 2024
Interview date: Thursday 6th June 2024, at Cullompton Library
Working Pattern
Week 1
Monday: 09:00 -17:00 (7hrs)
Thursday: 13:00 -17:00 (4hrs)
Friday: 09:00 -14:00 (5hrs)
Total: 16 hours

Week 2
Tuesday: 09:00 -17:00 (7hrs)
Thursday: 13:00 -17:00 (4hrs)
Saturday: 09:00 -13:00 (4hrs)
Total: 15 hours

Average weekly hours: 15.5 hours

You will play a key role in helping customers at every stage of their lives to get the most out of our services. It’s hands on and full of variety, with no two shifts ever being the same! In a typical shift, you could find yourself:

-Delivering a friendly, personable service to customers whilst helping them with their diverse reading and information queries.
-Using your excellent IT skills to help customers access our digital library services and connect to the wider world through our customer PCs or their own devices.
-Delivering events and activities that inspire a love of reading, learning and creativity with customers of all ages.
-Unleashing your creativity and develop your event planning and marketing skills by helping colleagues to plan and promote events and activities built with the local community in mind.

You don’t need qualifications or previous experience to join us – we’ll give you all the relevant training you’ll need. It’s your passion for helping others, strong IT skills, and your excellent organisation skills that are more important to us.
