Health Care Support Worker

Working Days: Shift pattern: days/nights/weekends.

The Cardiology Department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital is looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Health Care Support Worker to support our team in providing excellent care.

As a band 2 Health Care Support Worker you will enjoy working with engaged leadership, and a friendly motivated team to facilitate the safe and compassionate care of our patients.

Enjoy being part of a team working collaboratively and cooperatively within the ward to meet the needs of patients and their families. We embrace continual improvement and strive to aid patient flow with our organisation.

Candidates will demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with the whole multi-disciplinary team.

It’s a patient facing role with the majority of your time spent in ward areas liaising with patients and their families & members of the ward team. You’ll see every day the impact you make.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our 3thfloor cardiology team, to specifically support the opening of our dedicated discharge lounge. The post holder will be involved in patient’s direct care in a dynamic cardiology ward.

The role will include clinical and administrative duties.

The focus of the role is to support nursing team and patients in providing safe and excellent care. Both advocate for patients and great communication skills are required in order to escalate to the nurse any abnormal findings or concerns.
