Salary:

Current salary: £11,961.66

2 days are on a rolling rota - 8am - 6pm

138.6 hrs Annual leave entitlement.

£150 refer a friend scheme.

Essential requirements:

-Competent in IT and using computer software

-Effective team player: taking responsibility to contribute as much as possible, coordinating with, and supporting other team members and the Police Custody officers

-Able to understand and follow closely, laid out security and police procedures for handling witnesses and suspects

-Acts and communicates professionally at all time.

-Ability to analyse data and carry out basic problem-solving

-Flexible - willing and able to support the Police with connected activities

-Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.

-Have valid British passport/ settled status.

-All candidates are subject to police vetting checks

Desirable requirements:

-Experience of working within a custodial environment.

About the role:

You will work in a team which meets the requirements of Police identity parades and video film identifications.

Examine and extract information from requests made by Police Officers for Identification procedures to be held at the unit, home or hospital visits: ensuring suitably detailed information to satisfy (a) the legal requirements of The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) 1984 and Codes of Practice, (b) the procedural requirements of the ID Unit, and (c) the selection criteria for images.

To arrange, conduct and assist in the arrangement and conducting of identification procedures and parades.

Provision of an administrative support service to all witnesses / victims attending Video Identification parades including (a) the initial reception of each witness / victim at the unit (b) fully explaining procedures to them and where appropriate, escorting them around the unit, and (c) ensuring they are constantly supervised before and after the parade.
