This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children's Nurse to apply for post as a permanent Band 6 in Children's Outpatients on ORC site RMCH
Experience in an outpatient environment is desirable as is a commitment to outpatient service development.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the OPD Nurse Manager with particular focus on;
The post holder must be organised, responsive and flexible in coordinating and leading outpatient clinics and supporting specialist Nursing teams. They must also be trained or prepared to train in phlebotomy and support the development of the Outpatient nursing workforce alongside the ward manager and clinical educator
Daily oversight of the running of Outpatients
Work in collaboration with the Outpatients' Admin team
Be involved in the Outpatients Recovery Programme
· Leadership and professional role modelling through preparation and coordination, complex communication, challenging practice as required and celebrating achievement as it occurs.
· Review of local guidelines and protocols to ensure up to date and accessible to staff.· Supporting the ward manager to ensure quality, safety and patient experience.
